OFFICIALS

 1.

The official shall be one Referee, two Umpires, one scorer and two Assistant Scorers only.

 2.

The decision of the Umpires on the field shall be final generally, but in special circumstances the Referee may give his decision in the best interest of the game and if there is disagreement between the two Umpires only.

3.

Gross violation of Sportsmanship : The Referee or the Umpires shall have the power to warn, declare point against or to disqualify from the match any player or team committing any of the following or other gross violation of sportsmanship.

 

a)

Persistently addressing the officials in regard to the decision.

b)

Make derogatory remarks, about or to the officials.

c)

Act derogatorily to the officials or action leading to influence their decision.

d)

Make personal or derogatory remark about or to opponents.

e)

Point out finger by the raider or anti for demanding decision of the Umpire.

 4.

4.1

Fouls : The Referee or the Umpire shall have power to warn, declare point against or to disqualify from the match any player or team committing any or the following or other fouls :

 
a)

A player shall not attempt to stiffly a raider's cant by shutting his mouth or throttling or by any other way.

b) Violent tackling leading to injuries to the body.
c) A team which takes more than five seconds to send the raider.
d) To hold the raider with the help of scissors operated by legs.
e)

No coaching from outside should be given by the coaches or players. Coach only be allowed inside the arena during the course of the game. He will sit by the side of the substitutes in-line with the scorer in a low bench mark for it.

4.2

Referee or Umpire have a right to warn / temporary suspend / suspension from match or debarred from the tournament to a player / Players / Coach by using the following cards.
Yellow Card : Temporary suspension for 2 minutes
Green Card : Warning
Red Card : Suspended from match or debarred from the tournament.

 5.

Duties of the Referee: The Referee shall :
 

a)

Take the toss.

b)

Check up with the help of the umpires before commencement of the match whether rule 14 of the rules of match has been strictly observed by all the participants of the march.

c)

Announcing the score of each side before the five minutes declared. He will also announce the score of each side at the end of each half and at the end of match. He shall declare the points and the winner.

d)

Supervise in general, the conduct of the whole match.

e)

Keep the time and shall start and end the game by his whistle.

f)

Announce the substitution and replacement of players.

g)

His watch shall be synchronized with the watch of the scorer before the commencement of the match. Time of the Referee's watch will be the official time.

h)

Announce the time of each minute of the last five minutes of the second half.
